china taiping insurance group supports poverty alleviation programs

initiated by qian wei, wife of chinese foreign minister wang yi, the 11th "love knows no borders" international charity sale was held in beijing. wang yi and over 150 diplomats from embassies and representative offices of international organizations attended the opening ceremony. china taiping insurance group, along with 45 other enterprises and public institutions received certificates during the opening ceremony in recognition to their active participation in the charity sale and contributions to china's poverty alleviation cause over the years.
as a state-owned financial and insurance group, china taiping has participated in the international charity sale for two consecutive years. this year, tpre (china) joined the event on behalf of taiping group. in addition to donation, the group also brought agriculture products from its targeted-poverty-alleviation counties, liang dang of gansu province to the charity sale.
since 2009, the annual event has been donating the revenues of the sales to social welfare and poverty alleviation programs, which has left footprints in provinces including yunnan, gansu, henan, guizhou and guangxi. with a theme of "run to a better future", this year the charity sale raised over 7.1 million yuan which will be used for the building of school playgrounds in malipo county and jinping county in yunnan province.
